Bio

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Birch! I am a product of the Houston County School System. I graduated from Houston County High in 2017. I attended Georgia College and State University to pursue a Bachelor's in Middle Grades Education, focusing on Mathematics and ELA. After graduation in 2022, I got my first job at WRMS and just received my Masters from Georgia Southern University in Middle Grades Mathematics this summer. I am the recipient of the 2022 Georgia Council of Teachers of Mathematics Teacher of Promise award, which is given to a promising teacher in their 1st-3rd year of teaching. This summer I got married to my high school sweetheart and we have two kittens, Maverick and Daisy. When I am not teaching, you can most likely find me watching College Football during the fall or creating t-shirts and decals with my Cricut!

I am very excited to begin my second year teaching at WRMS! Go Warriors!!
