I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS degree in Experimental Psychology.
I received a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, KY.
I met my husband in graduate school. He went on to get his Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology while I worked as a behavior specialist and mental health therapist until we started a family.
After raising my two boys, Zach and Luke to school age, I returned to work, first as a substitute teacher, then as a full-time employee in 2011. I currently teach 6th grade Language Arts.
I love to read, and I love all books, tv shows and movies about vampires. I also love to watch my children and students play sports. My youngest son is a football and baseball player and my oldest son is attending The University of Georgia.
Finally, never able to say no to my children when they asked for a pet, we have a turtle, a very mean bird, three cats and a behaviorally-challenged dog.
