BIO

I received a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, KY and a Specialist Degree in Education from Georgia College.

I met my husband in graduate school.  He went on to get his Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology while I worked as a behavior specialist and mental health therapist until we started a family.

After raising my two boys, Zach and Luke to school age, I returned to work, first as a substitute teacher, then as a full-time employee in 2011.  I have taught in self-contained, special education classrooms, including an elementary autism class.  I have been at Warner Robins Middle School, teaching English Language Arts, for five years and have taught 6th and 7th grade.  Currently, I teach 6th grade Language Arts.

I love to read, and I love all books, tv shows and movies about vampires.  I also love to watch my children and students play sports. My sons played football and baseball, but now they are in college.  One is at The University of Kentucky School of Law and one at Auburn University.

Finally, never able to say no to my children when they asked for a pet, we have a turtle, a very mean bird, three cats and 2 behaviorally-challenged dogs.
