I later completed my Masters in Middle Grades Education with a concentration on Reading and Science from Georgia College and State University. In 2012, I completed my Specialist from Walden University in Teacher Leadership. I have taught seventh and eighth grade Language Arts and Math as well as high school reading 9-12. I finally found my passion with Family and Consumer Sciences and love teaching students skills that are meaningful for every day life!

In 2016, I received the FCCLA Master Adviser Award and then in 2018 I received the FCCLA Mentor Adviser Award. I have lead two National Award Winning FCCLA Chapters. Warner Robins Middle FCCLA has had National Award Winning students as well as our chapter being recognized for three straight years for conducting outstanding National Program Projects. I am currently the Region 7 Advisor and oversee our Region FCCLA activities and chapters.
On a personal note, I have four wonderful children! One of which is a Warrior! In my spare time I love homesteading, gardening, beekeeping, and being outside.
